Moving on up - June 26, 2007
I'm moving to a new house this weekend and playing two shows this week, so I have a mile-long list of domestic things to do: get all the proper paperwork to the proper people, pick up lawn care equipment and a shed to put it in, pick colors for the kitchen and bath...you know the drill.
I now have a regular gig in Atlanta at Blake's on the Park, two Thursdays a month. Looking forward to meeting lots of new Atlanta peeps!
Got Heart? - March 9, 2007
Hey folks,
I was just checking out the names of all the acts that are members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. To my astonishment, horror, disgust, blah, blah...the rock band 'HEART' are not included on the list.
This my friends SUCKS. What's with that?? Let me tell you something. When I was a kid in the 90's (hee-- who cares what year it was), there were two bands that had women in lead roles that I listened to endlessly. Fleetwood Mac (members of the hall of fame) and HEART. They rocked and they still rock. Ann Wilson has the absolute best voice and vocal range. Yeah, there are many really good artists out there. Ask them to sing 'Crazy on You' and see if they can handle it. These women were rockin at a time when the industry was all about male artists being signed and getting radio play. Check out their stats. Dreamboat Annie album went to the top 10 and was on the charts for 100 weeks.
Somebody wake up and give these women credit.
